Arts for Kids
With the continuous funding cuts in arts education programs, it becomes critical that the business community and the arts community take up the reins and continue to offer exposure to the arts to the youth in our community.

The Greater Augusta Arts Council currently provides opportunities for children at events such as Arts in the Heart where a free hands-on children's area gives them a chance to explore creative expression. A Young Artists Market provides young artists with an opportunity to sell their creative works at Arts in the Heart while also giving the message of support to the artists of tomorrow.

Additional programs for children can only be implemented with additional support of the community and help with funding. We would like to see hands-on childrens activities every month at First Friday. We would like to create mentoring opportunities for young artists, and bring in speakers that can assist them in following their creative dreams.
