Arts in Augusta...
Augusta's wide array of cultural organizations and activities reflects the area's rich history and appreciation for the arts. The Augusta community supports its own ballet, symphony, opera company, museums, multiple theatre companies and various other arts organizations providing educational and entertainment opportunities for both children and adults.

We have a wealth of visual artists, published writers, poets, performers and musicians living in and around the Greater Augusta area.

Downtown Augusta is home to Artists' Row, a collection of more than two dozen art galleries and working studios and shops. Fine art, jewelry, sculpture, crafts. During the monthly "First Friday" celebration artists open shop for the evening and offer demonstrations, refreshments, entertainment.
