What is a podcast?
A podcast is a program containing episodes (such as our weely broadcast of Arts Weekly) delivered via the Internet. Podcast episodes can be audio files, video files, documents, or any combination of the three. The publisher or broadcaster podcasts the program by posting the episodes to a Web server. You subscribe to the podcast using an application, such as iTunes or Zune which regularly reads the files and downloads new episodes.

What is RSS?
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way for the GAAC to easily distribute news and updates to a wide number of people. Websites such as AugustaArts.com change content on an unpredictable schedule. RSS is a better way to be notified of new and changed content. Notifications of changes to AugustaArts.com is easily managed and the results are presented to you in a well organized fashion
RSS works by having AugustaArts.com maintain a list of notifications on the website in a standard way. This list of notifications is called an "RSS Feed". People who are interested in finding out the latest headlines or changes can check this list. Special computer programs have been developed to automatically access the RSS feeds on your behalf and organize the results for you.
