Brenda Durant of the Greater Augusta Arts Council hosts "Arts Weekly" a ½ hour radio show dedicated to Arts and Entertainment in Augusta and the CSRA on WAEG-FM, Smooth Jazz 92.3 on Saturday mornings from 9:30-10am.

Special guest interview with Emily Stevenson. Emily will discuss the 12 Bands of Christmas CD and upcoming Show.

The 12 Bands of Christmas is an Augusta charity event that also give some of the CSRA’s finest musicians a platform to showcase their talent. Twelve local artists are chosen to record Christmas songs for a CD compilation and perform live in concert at the Imperial Theatre in December. This year's artist list it includes a few names known outside of the Augusta area. These artists have some sort of tie to the Augusta area - they once lived here, their family lives here or they just love playing here. Whatever their connection, they are excited to be a part of our holiday tradition. Proceeds from the 2008 12 Bands of Christmas go to support programs at MCG Health Children's Medical Center.

The 2008 12 Bands of Christmas Artists are 48VOLT, Tara Scheyer and the Mud Puppy Band, Say Vandelay, Ed Turner and 9, Swanee Quintet, Crosstie Walkers, G-City Rockers, Jennifer Daniels, Debt of Nature, Greg Hester, Whosehouse and Grady Nickel.
