VIA the Jessye Norman School for the Arts: Artists are asked to select a 2 – 8 minute portion of the “Shots in the Back” podcast from any of the six episodes (excluding the bonuses) and create or select a recent piece of artwork that responds to it (pieces of art must have been made within the past two years).
The intent of “Justice Delayed” is to create an audio-visual engagement that educates visitors on the uprising and explores its themes. A QR code placed next to the artwork will provide visitors access to the related audio.

Submissions are $20 each and due no later than the submission deadline of Sunday , May 23rd. Payment may be made via the website (see submission requirements) Artists will be notified by June 5th whether their work has been accepted. Selected work will be displayed in JNSA’s Ann and Ellis Johnson Gallery of Art from June 19th until July 17th, 2021.
