Thursday, January 26 was the first session of the ?Business of Being An Artist? Workshop series at the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art (www.ghia.org), presented in partnership with the Greater Augusta Arts Council.
Every February, the Greater Augusta Arts Council hosts an event for artists and its members- the Wet Paint Party + Sale. Part party, part auction, both temporary art gallery and vintage fashion show, the Wet Paint Party + Sale brings Augusta together to celebrate artists, fashion, and fun.
In November & December 2016, the Lucey Craft Laney Museum featured the quilts of the Brown Sugar Stitcher’s Guild. The Brown Sugar Stitchers Quilt Guild of Atlanta, GA is a diverse group of African-American quilters from all over the metropolitan area.
The Greater Augusta Arts Council will host a ribbon cutting to celebrate their new brand identity on Thursday, December 15, 2016, 11:00am-12pm. Recently released in November 2016, the brand identity was designed by Hansen Associates of Evans, GA.
